# How to search messages and/or files.

By clicking on the magnifying glass icon, on the right top of Tekos messenger, you can search for the files or conversation.

When the search bar appears, you can choose whether you want to search in the specific room or  in all conversations.

The files icon on the right top menu shows you all files shared whithin a specific room.
